Wesley Woods at New Albany
New Albany continues to experience substantial population growth. This is largely due to international retail visionary Les Wexner and business and civic leader Jack Kessler, who joined forces to form The New Albany Company. The New Albany Company began with a simple, yet audacious idea – build a community – not just another housing development or subdivision, but an entire community where the enduring traditions of 19th century towns create harmony between the buildings and the land and a distinctive sense of place for those who live there.
The result is a nationally-renowned community surrounded by meadows, woodlands and waterways... stately Georgian architecture in an understated palette... pedestrian-friendly amenities that encourage interaction...a village square with a library, restaurants and shops...a nationally-ranked school system on a 200-acre learning campus...parks in every neighborhood and miles of leisure trails...and a business climate with an entrepreneurial spirit that drives commerce.
In the fall of 2015, Business Insider named New Albany the #1 Suburb in America, saying,
Residents of New Albany, Ohio live a charmed life.
The missing element to New Albany’s awe-inspiring vision is a Continuing Care Retirement Community. In early 2015, working alongside The New Albany Company, the Board of Trustees for Methodist ElderCare Services approved plans for a CCRC on the corner of East Dublin Granville Road and Hamilton Road, named Wesley Woods at New Albany. This one-of-a-kind retirement community will encompass 37.8 acres alongside a nature preserve.
